An authentic alternative to testimonials
In a world of paid testimonials and deceptive algorithms, why not focus on how people were actually impacted. Instead of telling people how great something or someone is. Why not share the story of how you were impacted. I'd like to create a movement toward authentic sharing. I'm calling this, "iMPACT Stories".

Let's change the way we share how local businesses made a difference in our lives.

Thank you for taking the time to share your story with me and our readers. I don't quite know which direction you will be taking this in. So this will be unique for me as well. Can you start off by sharing a little bit about you and what you do?
Hi! Thanks for having me! Well, it's no surprise that health and wellness are a top priority for most consumers today and that demand is happening across many different business sectors, even real estate! Did you know that Wellness Real Estate is a $275 Billion dollar industry? That number comes from forward-thinking developers who are building communities all over the world that are intentionally designed to be supportive of health and wellbeing for the residents. I was truly fascinated by this and at the time I was an agent so I started a digital magazine called Wellness Real Estate that I shared with other agents to educate consumers about creating a healthier home environment. Now, my company is called HealthyHOME Media and we're the only marketing company that specializes in creating done-for-you tools specifically for real estate and healthy home professionals.
Everyone has a different perspective on how people meet and how paths crossed. Could you share how we met and what was going on in your life at that time?
Sure! Well, actually, you reached out to me and asked if I might be interested in speaking at the IHASP convention about wellness real estate. I wasn't able to participate this year, but I reached out to you to learn more. At the time, my company was called WellnessRE Magazine and my membership called WellnessRE PRO. I had been asked by lots of people if I could offer my magazine to other business professionals that aren't agents, but I had been reluctant to create HealthyHOME magazine because I didn't want to double my work effort.
What was your first impression? And did that change at any point?
Since our first meeting was on Linked In, I looked up your profile and wow! I was impressed by your huge network and thought oh my, he's reached out to little ol' me!? LOL. After talking with you on the phone, it was just so refreshing to talk to someone who clearly loves helping people. I can't remember exactly what I asked you on that first call, but I remember you giving me some really great advice. It was not just free advice either, you knew how to solve the problem I had been looking to solve for a long time. I remember being so inspired by our conversation and had so much more clarity about what to do next.
Can you share a little bit the moment you realized an inflection point, and what it was that clicked for you?
We talked about networking and all the improvements you were implementing at IAHSP to bring more visitors to the site and to improve the brand. I felt like you were the mentor I'd been searching for since I was trying to do all of the things you were actually doing at that moment!
How did that impact you personally, and in what you were working on at the time?
I am so thankful to have met you, Joseph! You have helped me propel my brand and offerings. Now I have a system in place that automatically does the custom-branded mobile issues of Wellness Real Estate and HealthyHOME Magazines. Plus I have business and agent spotlights that are also now automatic, instead of the burdensome task they were before I met you. It allows me to give agents and small business owners free press for their businesses. You have helped me so much!
How has that changed your outlook or progress in your personal, or entrepreneurial journey?
That one change you have made has enabled me to become a marketing agency with a full suite of branded tools, and I'm now so much more confident that I booked us to be an exhibitor at two of the largest real estate conventions this year!
What are you working on now? And how can our readers help or be a part of what you are up to?
Thanks so much for asking! If any of your readers are agents and they are looking for a way to connect with more people about their business, they should read my book: Wellness Real Estate - Modern Marketing for Real Estate Professionals. I have it free on my website www.healthyhomemedia.com if you click real estate agents button, it's at the bottom of the next page. Also, if there are healthy home professionals in your community, like eco designers, green builders, developers or if you sell healthy home products, check out our website too because we are the only marketing company that is already aligned with your brand! And we have tons of done-for-you tools that will save you so much time and money on your marketing so you can get back to doing what you do best.
How can people find out more about you and your company?
Well, I truly appreciate you. And I'm glad you were impacted by me. I learned early in my entrepreneurial journey the importance of giving freely. I was fortunate enough to be mentored and spared the time by some really amazing people. I'm glad that they impacted me, and that I could also pay it forward. Thank you for sharing your story with me and our readers.
No, thank you Joseph! I am so thankful for you and all that you have done to help me and my business. You are the best.
