Thank you for taking the time to sit with us and share your story. Can you share a little bit about you and your company?

I spent 20 years in the insurance industry prior to co-founding PEO Brokers Group in 1998.
PEO Brokers Group in Numbers . . .

150
Combined years of experience in the PEO and Insurance space.

75+
Partnerships with Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs).

25
Years in business, operating nationally. We opened our doors in 1998.

A question so many people are interested in, is how you got started. Can you share a little bit about what you were doing before this, and what that moment was like for you when you decided to start this new journey?

After many years in the insurance industry, I saw first-hand that there was a need for a bundle of services for small business owners. The natural transition then was to the Professional Employer Organization space whereby they offer these much-needed bundle of services, but like everything else, one size does not fit all. This is why and when PEO Brokers Group was born.

Let's take a little bit of a detour, and rewind the clock a little bit. What did you want to be as a kid? And how did that influence the person you are today?

Since I have always been outgoing, sales & marketing came about early in life, from mowing lawns, working at a full-service gas station and then on the retail clothing then Jr. level management with a national variety store chain.

Have you fully let go of that childhood dream? And where do you see yourself going in the next ten years?

After these 25 years, I see this ride continuing until sunset, however long that may be.

Now, I have found that with successful people, there is always someone pivotal as either a mentor, parent, teacher, or someone that you look to for advise, that helped set you on this path. Could you share who that person was? And what impact that had on the person you are today?

I have been blessed by many that have helped shape my life, as a young man and continuing throughout my adult career.

What was one take away that you learned from that person? And how did it translate into your business today?

Never give up, always stay the course, but evolve with the times.

When we work with businesses, we focus a lot on their "Why?". What is your "Why"? What is the driver behind your company, and why you and your team wake up each day and give it your all?

Bringing about cost-saving solutions for small businesses in areas such as payroll, HR, compliance & benefits thus enabling them to compete competitively and prosper within their respective industries.

Let's dive deeper into your products and services. You already gave an overview, but how do your products or services help your customers? And what makes them different from your competitors?

We mitigate the "non-productive", "non-revenue" generating employer task, thus allowing business owners to concentrate on their core business activities.

Let's unpack that even further. Let's pick one aspect of your business. What makes it so unique? And how does it change you or your customer's experience?

When you save a business owner hard earned dollars and some valuable time all while providing valuable needed services, well, it just doesn't get any better than that!

Let's dive into your customer's journey a little bit. Can you share with us, how do your customers discover you and your brand? What are their next steps? And what is the experience you would like to see your customers go on, when working with you and your brand?

The majority of our clients come to us through their property & casualty insurance agent. They remaining percentage come to us thru LinkedIn and other social, networking groups we are affiliated with. Next step is booking a discovery call with us, then the RFP followed by our webinar presentation.

Let's rave about your customers for a minute. Can you share a story about one of your clients or customers, that either touched your heart, or made an impact with you and your team?

We had a commercial tank manufacturer that recently lost their primary bid source due to their workers' compensation modifier going above the maximum allowed. When we were able to provide the solution within a week and get them back on the listing source, the look on this owner's face was priceless. His words shortly thereafter, "I was able to book enough jobs in the following 90 days to pay for our lapse in business and save over $250K." This one really hit home.

Everyone likes an inside scoop. What detail or secret about either you, or your company, is something most people might not know?

We work for the client, not the referral source and not the Professional Employer Organizations.

Final thoughts. What feeling or benefits would you like your customers or clients to take away when working with you and your team?

Our exemplary client services, time and money savings while feeling good about their decision.

Last question. How can people find out more about you and your company?

They can call us toll free 877-810-9355, email - inforequest@peobrokersgroup.com, or visit us online www.peobrokersgroup.com. Our corporate website www.peobrokersgroup.com or my progressive web app (PWA) https://oneapp.to/stevebrown
